A nonprofit organization in New York City is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their growing team as their new Director of Grants & Contract Management.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Grants and Contract Management will:

Conduct oversight of contract compliance
Make recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer regarding organizational policies, procedures, and protocols
Develop, implement and manage an agency-wide contracts management and reporting system (i.e., grantor financial reporting)
Lead agency contracts team to establish agency policies and procedures for managing all aspects of contracts/grants including startup, renewals, amendments, modifications, closeouts, etc.
Ensure a contract administration plan is developed for each government contract
Supervise project fiscal administrators (i.e., contracts billing specialists)
Oversee the preparation of reporting documents to government and private funders, ensuring the timely submission of all vouchers and related compliance reports
Manage the resolution of disallowed costs by setting up appropriate control systems
Monitor expenditures for each contract and liaises with Budget Manager to coordinate contract budget modifications with the budget department
Support audit requests by governmental funding agencies
Facilitate the development of quality assurance systems and ensure timeliness to monitor and tract contract mandates and deliverables
Implement and monitor expense reporting procedures to assure accuracy and timeliness of reported contract expenses
Prepare summary reports for Senior Management and Program Managers
Assist in determining agency risks associated with starting new publicly funded programs and make recommendations to RFP team
Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

5 years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience.
Bachelor's Degree
Experience with Grants and Contract Management
Previous experience in a Leadership and/or Supervisory role
Microsoft Excel proficient
Solid analytical skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
