firstPRO is seeking a Senior Data Center Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. This role is a contract to hire opportunity that has a hybrid work model which includes some onsite in Blue Bell, PA. This role also includes some local travel as well.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, diagnose, and maintain servers, storage, virtualization, orchestration/automation, high-availability, backup, and disaster recovery technologies.
• Manage iSCSI, fibre channel, and FCoE/NVME fabrics.
• Plan and execute data migration projects.
• Analyze data center performance and capacity.
• Conduct storage, replication, backup, and disaster recovery tests and proof of concepts (POCs).
• Provide customer training and knowledge transfer.
• Establish and adhere to service standards for design, documentation, configuration, and implementation.
• Maintain regular communication with the Service Delivery Manager regarding client satisfaction and project updates.
• Provide timely updates to team members, project managers, and the management team.
• Stay current with advancements in relevant technologies.
• Maintain vendor certifications and expand technical skill set.

Requirements:

• Expert level experience with Dell-EMC products, including VxRail, Unity, PowerStore, PowerMax, PowerScale, RecoverPoint/RP4VMs, PowerFlex, Avamar, Networker, Data Domain, and PowerProtect Data Manager.
• Mid-Level experience with VMware products, including vSphere, SRM, vRealize, vSAN, NSX, and VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Mid-Level experience with iSCSI, fibre channel, and FCoE fabrics.
• Experience with server platforms from Cisco, Dell, or HP.
• Prefer experience with other hyperconverged, SAN, backup, and disaster recovery technologies, such as Cohesity, Veeam, Cisco HyperFlex, Nutanix.
• Prefer experience with public and hybrid cloud solutions, such as Microsoft, Amazon, and VMware Cloud.
• Technical expertise in deploying and troubleshooting data center technologies through data analysis.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to meet and exceed customer project expectations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide customer training.
• Proven track record of high-quality solution implementations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Ability to analyze client requirements and recommend appropriate solutions and services.
• Strong desire to learn new technologies and skills.
• Multiple Dell-EMC professional level certifications (EMCIE, EMCTA, Proven Professional).
• Multiple VMware professional level certifications (VCP, VCAP, or VCDX).
