    Description
    The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the detailed design of the mechanical portion of a design package.#ZV

    Essential Functions:
    Engineering, designing, and drafting furnaces, heaters, ovens, and diffusion heating elements.
    Review the Sales generated furnace and control specification sheets.
    Attend design review meeting when required.

    Research customers' needs and expectations and determine what furnace design is the closest related to the meet the customers' requirements.

    When required, develop an approval drawing for the customer to review and approve the design for production.

    Project management:
    Review incoming sales orders for complete and accurate information.
    Develop a schedule for the mechanical and electrical design completion, and release of Engineering Master to Production Planning.

    Hold a design review with sales manufacturing and quality as needed prior to releasing the Engineering Master to Production Planning.

    Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS
    BS in Mechanical Engineering or at least 10 years' experience in related manufacturing industry or equivalent work experience in related areas
    Proficient in Microsoft Office products, 3D Modeling, SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor software, ERP Systems
    Ability to produce, read and understand shop drawings.
    Working knowledge of sheet metal, structural steel and furnace system components
    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES (KSA)
    To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the skills, attributes and abilities to perform each duty proficiently. The requirements in the document are the minimum levels of knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position.

    Mathematical Ability:
    Strong math skills including geometry, algebra metric conversions, fractions, multiplication, division and decimals.

    EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS
    Computer including CAD software, ERP and Microsoft Office products
    General small hand tools (drills, screw drivers, cutting tools, etc.)
