Description
Telecommunications SpecialistAt GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Telecommunications Specialist
Performs configuration of operating system and security patches for host and distributed systems and implements incident response procedures during incidents of a network or host security breach.
May provide leadership and direction to a team of specialists for these functions. Reviews customer requirements and makes recommendations for changes to existing technical architecture. Complies with prescribed customer, industry and agency standards.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education:
High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience
Required Skillset:
Mitigate risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated projectsReview and/or approve system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and completeEstablish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfacesCapture all interface designs in a common interface control format, and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository
Clearance Level:
TS/SCIRequired Certification(s):DoD M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE)
Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contractIAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalentComputing Env:
MCSA Server 2016 (You can start with the first exam completed and must obtain the full MCSA Server 2016 within 180 days from start date.)
