    The Role


    As a Cultivation and Genetics Data Analyst you will help inform and drive key Cultivation decisions by driving improvements in our cultivation data capture and management, short and long-term planning, and follow-on analyses to ultimately improve our cultivation approach and output.

    Beyond your partnership with the cultivation teams across our markets on the data, you will be a key resource to our cultivation, supply chain, and commercial leadership team to support the planning and coordination of our cultivation and commercial operations to improve our in-market performance.

    You will gather relevant data, build, and support operational models, and engage in active dialogue with GTI's national and regional leadership teams.


    Reporting into the Director, Commercial Strategy, you will also partner closely with our VP, Innovation and Commercial Strategy, head growers, regional ops teams, and our broader executive team to serve as the cultivation data expert and use the data to help inform and shape our genetics and cultivation strategy moving forward.

    Responsibilities

    Partner with cultivation leadership teams to identify challenges in our data collection and partner with local cultivation teams to develop, plan, implement, and monitor cultivation KPIs and drivers for our business and develop insights and actionable recommendations
    Manage, refresh, and enhance national/market specific cultivation dashboards to provide visibility to cultivation and regional leadership
    Develop a deep understanding of both GTI's and competitor's cannabis genetic portfolio including, but not limited to, lineages, unique characteristics, cultivation KPIs, commercial success, and national trends
    Act as a go-to resource for context and insights on GTI's genetics to support each market's cultivation planning and execution
    Develop a process to monitor genetic performance (i.e., cultivation, processing, commercial) within each market and across GTI's network
    Identify external genetics which GTI should look to source or develop in line with our overall genetics portfolio strategy
    Support management teams on ad hoc requests and projects
    Drive process improvement and policy development

    What We Are Looking For

    Bachelor's degree in quantitatively focused major (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science) or business major with supporting data analytics experience
    2+ year's experience managing, mining and presenting data as a data analyst, business analyst or similar role
    Understanding of the cannabis market and cultivation process is preferred
    Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
    Experience utilizing Tableau, Excel, and Powerpoint
    Strong communication skills to translate data insights into executive-level presentations and drive discussion
    Ability to build relationships and credibility with team members at various levels within our organization
    Willingness to hustle; we operate at a fast pace and we expect team members to keep up
    Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness
