    FMI Aerostructures is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our team and help us produce high-quality products.

    In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining CNC programs, creating new programs, and optimizing existing ones.

    Our machinists are the best in the industry, and we are investing to support their continued success. Write, develop, and edit CNC programs in conjunction with continuous improvements

    Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; Analyze drawings, blueprints, and design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.

    Occasionally set up and operate CNC equipment as needed.

    Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

    Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced
    Read Instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts being machined within specified tolerance.
    Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
    Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years experience in CNC programming
    Must have knowledge of high temp alloy metals such as titanium, Inconel, aluminum and stainless steels
    Must be proficient in CATIA V5
    Coordinates with engineering and manufacturing staff to resolve issues regarding manufacturability of designs
    Must have working knowledge of 3D solid modeling concepts and design skills.
