    JOB TITLE: Behavioral Health Director


    We are currently looking for an experienced Behavioral Health Director to take charge of our behavioral health department. The chosen candidate will be responsible for assessing, triaging, and managing cases for students, faculty, and staff. Additionally, the Director will be tasked with providing regular updates to the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT).



    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop a vision for faculty development in the Behavioral Health department;
    • Conduct assessments for individuals facing psychological challenges or academic issues;
    • Facilitate referrals to outside treatment providers when needed;
    • Manage cases of individuals in treatment programs or under behavioral monitoring;
    • Provide updates during BIT meetings and maintain meeting records;
    • Build relationships with mental health agencies and other service providers;
    • Introduce Behavioral Health services at student orientations;
    • Offer guidance to faculty on student issues;
    • Coordinate referrals to external resources and monitor progress;
    • Ensure compliance with regulations;
    • Attend meetings with administrative staff;
    • Participate in additional programs as requested;
    • Contribute to student success and uphold the institution's values;
    • Engage in scholarly activities to enhance student learning;
    • Actively participate in community involvement initiatives;
    • Undertake any other necessary departmental duties.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnostic criteria;
    • Understanding of psychological methodologies;
    • Effective communication skills;
    • Ability to work well under pressure;
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
    • Proficiency in accounting and finance;
    • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks;
    • Excellent computer literacy;
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
    • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities;
    • Open-minded, creative, and team-oriented;
    • Flexible and cooperative with a focus on respect;
    • Willingness to work diligently and follow directives;

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field with previous leadership experience in a behavioral health environment. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of behavioral health practices, and the ability to navigate state and federal regulations effectively.
