    Description

    Summary



    The position is located in the Executive Office of the Legal Adviser and Bureau of Legislative Affairs (L-H/EX) and reports to the Division Chief for Management Services. The Executive Office provides management and administrative support to the Office of the Legal Adviser (L) and the Bureau of Legislative Affairs (H), to include Budget, Human Resources, Information Technology, Records Management, Strategic Planning, and Support Services (General Services).



    Duties

    • Plans, evaluates, and provides expert advice on applications design, development, cybersecurity vulnerability analysis and assessment, maintenance, configuration management, and software engineering management processes.
    • Advises and consults with end users in their identification and evaluation of functions that could potentially benefit from new and improved applications software.
    • Provides significant input in the development of systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures for Bureau systems including activities leading to security certification or accreditation.
    • Prepares technical papers, elements of training curriculum, talking points, statements of work, performance work statements, government cost estimates, daily/weekly activity reports (DARs/WARs), analytical reports, and other written documentation.
    • Designs, develops, implements, and evaluates performance of Information Technology (IT) contracts to ensure compliance with Department and Bureau contract management policy frameworks, including multiple multi-year contracts.
