Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and professional Receptionist to join our team.
This role operates under the direction of the Office Manager and Administrator, handling day-to-day receptionist and clerical duties in accordance with all current Federal, State, local, and facility regulations and standards.
Receptionist Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
Receptionist Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Follow all facility and departmental policies, guidelines, and directives when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
Answer phones, direct calls, and take messages.
Greet visitors and provide directions to locations within the facility.
Order office supplies and departmental materials as assigned.
Monitor resident activity near the front door and assist or redirect as necessary.
File resident, employee, and business records as directed.
Complete departmental copying assignments.
Handle mail-related tasks: mailing care plan letters, resident trust letters, rehab letters to physicians, and delivering incoming mail to departments.
Manage applicant inquiries, distribute/collect applications, and notify department heads of walk-in applicants.Maintain and update the resident room board in the lobby.
Cooperate with personnel to prioritize resident care.
Immediately report resident incidents or accidents to nursing staff.
Report any personal injuries to the Office Manager, no matter how minor.
Report suspected or observed resident abuse immediately to the Administrator or designee.
Report abusive behavior by residents toward staff or visitors to nursing staff for follow-up.
Report needed repairs or environmental issues.
Attend required departmental meetings and in-services; obtain missed materials if absent.
Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisors.
