    Description


    The individual in this role will be essential for ensuring a smooth supply chain for WAI Global, maintaining cost-effective procurement, and strengthening our current and new supplier relationships.

    This individual will balance their technical expertise with business acumen to drive WAI values and be the representative for our diversified sourcing projects globally.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leading sourcing activities including identifying suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, and selecting the most suitable ones for the organization's needs Drive improvements by conducting cost analyses, negotiations, and implementing cost-effective strategies Optimize expenses while maintaining quality Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

    Collaborate closely with them to ensure a steady supply of materials or components Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and supplier capabilities Ensure that suppliers meet quality standards and address any issues promptly with the assistance of US and China QC teams Actively contribute to cross-functional teams, manage projects, and drive continuous improvement.

    Assist with new product introductions and supplier transitions Develop subject matter expertise in specific technical categories Review and consider not only the initial cost but also the total cost of ownership (TCO) when helping US Sourcing teams to make sourcing or resourcing decisions Promote a collaborative work environment, encouraging effective communication and cross-training initiatives to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably from an Engineering school 5+ years of sourcing experience Automotive Industry experience a plus Statistical analysis skill, establish metrics for each supplier and ensure expected results Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills Employment Type:
