    The Procurement Category Manager for Transportation & Warehousing, reporting to the Director of Indirect Procurement & Logistics, will lead strategic sourcing initiatives for logistics across more than 30 sites in North America. This role manages approximately $120 million in annual spend and collaborates with stakeholders across key functions such as Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Operations. Responsibilities include implementing category sourcing strategies, engaging with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure a continuous supply of quality goods and services at optimal cost. The Manager partners closely with other functions to implement Total Cost of Ownership improvement opportunities within the logistics category. This role involves negotiating pricing and terms with selected key suppliers; however, it does not involve tactical planning or purchase order administrative support.

    Responsibilities
    • Strategy Implementation (50%): Support the implementation of multi-year procurement strategies and translate them into actionable plans at the site level.
    • Relationship Management (10%): Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
    • Negotiation (20%): Manage negotiation preparation, process, and outcomes.
    • Analysis (20%): Provide analysis and recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.

    What we look for
    • Ability to manage concurrent projects across multiple manufacturing plants and secure buy-in and collaboration from functional leaders at individual sites.
    • Flexibility to navigate seamlessly across the organization (Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D) during project lifecycles, fostering relationships to achieve project goals.
    • Effective liaison with multiple stakeholders with sometimes conflicting needs and priorities.
    • Proven process for developing supplier relationships that encourage open dialogue and cooperation to identify and implement win-win solutions adding value to both organizations.

    Requirments:
    • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
    • 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field.
    • Technical expertise in logistics processes, technology platforms (CzarLite, PC Miler, etc.), and their practical application across all modes (TL, LTL, Parcel, Air, Expedite).
    • Working knowledge of procurement processes and sourcing strategy development.
    • Expertise/mastery in desktop analytical tools (Excel, databases, Tableau, or equivalent).
    • Demonstrated excellent negotiation skills, with a focus on identifying win-win scenarios.
    • Proven problem-solving ability to address issues and identify resolutions.
    • Action/results-oriented with the ability to work with minimal oversight, be self-motivated, and proactive in achieving objectives.

    Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
