Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Life Sciences Leadership Level - Senior Account Executive in our Life Sciences Practice to sell the full suite of Cognizant's services and solutions (including Custom Application Development, Engineering & Testing Services, Infrastructure Solutions, Business Consulting Services, etc.) into Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Medical device organizations.
This role will have responsibility for pursuing major accounts within the Pharma – Life Sciences sector. Accounts will typically be oriented geographically to location but may include marquee accounts throughout the U.S. Service offerings will include Application Development & Maintenance, Business Process Outsourcing, and Information Technology Outsourcing. The Senior Account Executive will work with the Client Partner and team that will support all Sales pursuits. An offshore team will support all targeted marketing into designated accounts.
Key Responsibilities
· Pursue major accounts within the Health Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical) sector. Accounts are both existing accounts and new logos.
· You will be responsible for hunting net new logos - new business.
· Act as the account lead on assigned accounts, setting the sales strategy, and taking overall responsibility for developing and nurturing the client relationship.

· Build and manage client relationships. Manage the shaping and closure of opportunities on assigned accounts, leveraging Cognizant specialists to support as necessary.
· Serve as day-to-day contact for the client where there is thin coverage of Client Partner support.
· Scale accounts at pace.
Required Experience:
· Minimum 15 years' experience selling consulting services into the Health Sciences Pharmaceutical domain.
· Minimum 10 years' experience working for a Global Consulting Firm, Onshore/Offshore sales with minimum of $10M annual quota. (This may vary depending on the maturity of the Vertical that the AE is selling for)
· Extensive healthcare and life sciences business domain expertise.
· Minimum 10 years' experience selling similar Service Offerings – Applications Development & Maintenance, Business Process Outsourcing, and Information Technology Outsourcing.
· Demonstrated consecutive quarterly and yearly quota achievement in complex selling environments utilizing a solution selling model.
· 4-year bachelor's degree or equivalent required

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual base salary for this position is between $ 205, $211,150,00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
