- Replace all styles and types of bulbs and clean. Identify defective components, and report to supervisor.
- Proper disposal of spent lamps. The separation of mercury and non-mercury tubes; package mercury containing tubes for shipping out as hazardous waste.
- Assists licensed Electrician in more complex installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems; performs preventative maintenance.
- Repairs simple electric circuits and equipment such as, nurses call system components, receptacles, fire alarm system components, and pneumatic tube system components (carriers).
- Read Electric meters.
- Uses test equipment
- Participates in various areas of emergency power testing.
- Uses engraving machine to make label plates for identification of electrical equipment and receptacles.
- Completes daily record of work performed.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
- Completion of a high school or equivalent G.E.D.
- Must be able to read and understand English.
- Must be respirator qualified.
- Must have some mechanical ability.
- Must be self motivated with strong communication skills
