Job Summary/Description

The Department of Physical Therapy invites applications, for a tenure-track faculty

position or clinical non-tenure track, that emphasizes management of the clinical

education curriculum and teaching graduate courses in physical therapy. This is a 9- month appointment with the possibility of teaching summer classes that reports to the department chair with administrative, academic, service, and scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission of the DPT program and accreditation standards of the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

Typical Duties/Job Duties

Organizing and managing the clinical education program including summer

clinical practicum oversight, teaching, advising students, performing scholarly activities, and serving on program, department, college and university committees.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Candidate should possess strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and clinical education partners.
Desired areas of expertise include experience in clinical education, multi-site clinical coordination, and clinical administration.
Teaching expertise in anatomy, neuromuscular examination and management preferred; pathophysiology and acute care optional

Minimum Qualifications

For Assistant Professor, an earned doctorate, PhD, EdD, ScD, DSc.

For Assistant Clinical Professor, DPT or tDPT.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced clinical competency such as fellowship/residency training or ABPTS

certification preferred.

An established record of academic or clinical teaching experience preferred. Licensed physical therapist preferred.
