    Basic Function:
    Under the general supervision of the Manager of Behavioral Health Services, provides clinical supervision to one or more service units engaged in the delivery of behavioral health services within both a community and clinic setting to children, adolescents, families or adults

    Reports to:

    Director of Behavioral HealthSupervises (Position Title): Qualified Mental Health Professionals, Mental Health Professionals, Family Resource DevelopersPrincipal Duties/Responsibilities: Provides and documents clinical supervision in accordance with agency performance standards.

    Supervises all services in a manner to insure the building of client resiliency and consumer input. Assures that clients served are provided the appropriate level of intensity of clinical services that are medically necessary.

    Oversees the continuity of care of client services including referrals to community support services; coordination between behavioral and primary healthcare; the development of service plans that are comprehensive, client-centered, strength-based, medically necessary, culturally sensitive, maximize client participation and adhere to the agency model of service delivery.

    Assures that clients receive the appropriate level of intensity of services and that services are medically necessary. Oversees the implementation of the clients treatment plan and service delivery.

    Assures that all services are provided in accordance with standards of informed consent, maintenance of client rights, standards of confidentiality and are consistent with Agency procedures, licensing standards, and standards of professional practice.

    Assures that all treatment services are compliant with federal medical regulations.

    Demonstrates expertise in the implementation of diagnostic formulations and criteria using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V-TR) and applicable pathways.

    Maintains and adheres to current rules and regulations pertaining to services delivered by the Illinois Department of Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities as well as Department of Children & Family Services, including the Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (ANCRA).

    Participates in 5 hours of training and/or other type of continuing education per quarter. Participates in 1 hour of supervision per week.

    Seeks out supervision when needed and function professionally and appropriately in interactions Returns phone calls, faxes, electronic emails, intranet pages and coordinate with other community services.

    Send and respond to releases of confidential information. Appropriately expresses information. Completes assignments within required timeframes. Monitors productivity of line staff by compiling EHR reports. Delivers productivity reports to BHCS Director, Health Care Systems Director, and VP off BHCS.

    Trains staff on the effective and efficient management of caseloads with the aim of maximizing the delivery of Direct Services.
