Warehouse Associate | General Labor

Overview:

Baton Rouge, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Warehouse Associate/General Laborer to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within our client's recycling facility, including but not limited to material sorting, equipment operation, and general maintenance. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.

Essential Duties:

• Sort and segregate materials according to type.
• Operate machinery such as forklifts, conveyor belts, and compactors to facilitate material handling.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and containers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and work areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and coworkers to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements/Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Prior experience operating a forklift.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs independently.
• Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to dust, odors, and fluctuating temperatures.
• Comfortable operating machinery and equipment in a warehouse setting.
• Agility and dexterity to maneuver safely around the facility and equipment.
