    Position Responsibilities

    May include:


    • Administers EHS programs and policies including policy guidance


    • Provides support and consulting to internal customers in specialty area


    • Prepares reports and maintains records


    • Perform regulatory fieldwork such as opacity measurement, waste, and water sampling, inspection, and management


    • Researches, collects, and analyzes data and information


    • Ensures regulatory compliance


    • Collects data to produce trends and metrics


    • Performs EHS compliance audits


    • Provides EHS training for internal customers


    • Completes incident investigations and required documentation


    • Coaches employees and managers on EHS program and policy interpretation


    • Maintains confidential information


    • Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs

    Nature & Scope

    Uses established procedures and works in designated locations under immediate supervision to perform assigned tasks

    Knowledge & Skills


    • Strong organizational skills


    • Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment


    • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills


    • Must be a forklift operator


    • Must be able to operate a tugger


    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted


    • Will be required to stand and walk for extensive periods


    • Sort recyclables


    • Remove trash from recyclables


    • Support porters


    • Collect and bale recyclables


    • Load trailer


    • Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity on the job

    Experience


    • 1+ years related experience

    Education/Certification


    • High school diploma or GED required

    Physical Requirements / Work Environment


    • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
