    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The mission of this position is to assist in the fabrication and assembly of components required to build specialized equipment for our customers ranging from the automotive, consumer goods, and food packaging industries. We are looking for a talented Individual to lead multiple jobs and teams to build / assemble high - quality equipment from our engineered designs. As a qualified project coordinator, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering prints, planning and scheduling the team. and performing quality checks on finished products. You will also be expected to participate in future job quoting and reviews. To ensure success as a Engineered system coordinator, you should have advanced knowledge of industrial equipment and processes, a good eye for detail, and excellent ability to trouble shoot. Ultimately, the ES coordinator will manage the build of one-off equipment and control panels. This position requires the ability to work unsupervised to a deadline and manage projects from start to finish. They assist the Manufacturing Manager in scheduling, assigning work, and ensuring maximum efficiency in the assembly process. They also ensure adherence to safety rules and practices.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
    • Enforce practices to ensure that associate safety is a top priority.
    • Reading and interpreting engineering prints (Mechanical / Electrical)
    • Coordinating labor in the following areas to meet production schedules for projects.
    Assembly labor (Electrical, Panel Build and Mechanical)

    Installation labor (Electrical and Mechanical)
    • Weekly status updates for assigned projects being processed through the assembly area.
    • Coordinates product release to guarantee efficient assembly practices.
    • Labor planning 2 days out
    • Ensure that shop organization and cleanliness is a high priority.
    • Performing quality checks on completed products.
    • Support assembly associate development.
    • Provide training and performance feedback.
    • Participate in launch meetings, team meetings, and installation meetings throughout the project.
    • Assist in setting up build plans and timelines.
    • Check stock and order shop material for inventory.
    • Reinforce existing processes such as kitting, and the RAIL process.
    • Emphasize good habits such as cleanliness, organization, and keeping a clear list of items for assemblers to stay busy.
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
    • Previous work experience as a Lead in industrial equipment.
    • Knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering prints.
    • Ability to follow UL standards.
    • Advanced mathematical skills.
    • Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
    • Ability to stand for long periods.
    • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently.
    • Effective time management skills
    • Understands manufacturing principles.
    • Strong organizational and management skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
    Physical Requirements:
    • This position may require constant standing and frequent walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, and twisting.
    • Working in machine building also requires constant cervical flexion, the chin to chest movement. Maximum lifting weight can reach about 50lbs, maximum carrying weight is about 30lbs, and the maximum pushing and pulling weights can reach lbs.
    • Frequent forward and lateral reach may be required, as well as frequent grasping, handling, pinching. Working in this position requires a very strong ability to work alone and self-supervise as well as the ability to supervise others.
    • It also requires the ability to handle attention to detail, tight deadlines, responsibility and accountability and the ability to multi-task.
