We are currently looking for skilled telecom Outside-Plant (OSP) Residents across the US to support our expansion in providing fiber optic construction in rural America.

An Outside-Plant (OSP) Resident will handle engineering tasks and field support for outside plant operations. This role involves mapping out where telecom facilities will be located, whether underground, buried, or aerial.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising upcoming Fiber-to-the-Premise (FTTP) projects.
• Staking outside plant (OSP) projects according to engineering plans.
• Documenting measurements and proposed placements accurately.
• Creating sketches of engineering plans in the field.
• Mapping new construction routes.
• Overseeing Outside Plant Inspectors.
• Ensuring compliance with engineering plans.
• Recording daily progress accurately.
• Collaborating with clients and contractors.
• Traveling for project requirements.

Requirements & Skills

• Prior experience in OSP Telecom Construction/Engineering is preferred.
• Familiarity with RUS practices and terminology is a plus.
• Ability to interpret maps, drawings, and diagrams for construction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge of Google Earth/Maps.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills.
• Effective time management.
• Physical fitness for fieldwork.
• Ownership of a vehicle.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
