Summary

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration is in the Unified Communications (JNPC) of the Platform Services (JNP) organization of Enterprise Technology Operations Services (JN), Information Technology (J), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).

A successful candidate in the IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS/SYSADMIN) position will serve as an IT specialist and technical expert for Unified Communications (VoIP and Video Teleconferencing technologies).

Duties

As a IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/SYSANALYSIS), you will:

• Lead & conduct studies designed to identify potential improvements in the way information technology is applied to key business functions.
• Assess new systems design methodologies to improve software quality. Accurately represents customer requirements. Effectively measures software development risk. Presents recommendations for adoption of new methodologies, and leads implementation.
• Reviews the impact of new systems design policies on the systems design process. Recommends most beneficial implementation approaches, and leads implementation activities.
• Plan and conduct simulations to determine capacity requirements and recommend hardware/software replacements or upgrades to meet current and future requirements.
• Generate and run simulation models for future applications. Evaluates and verifies impacts on the current and planned enterprise IT architecture.
• Develop and implement migration strategies. Plan for continuity of operations during the deployment of new server technology.
