    Description

    Overview:

    VTG is seeking a Change Order Coordinator to work in our Virginia Beach, VA location.

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop detailed Task Order price estimates including narratives explaining basis of estimate, ground rules and assumptions.
    • Analyzes estimates against historical data, identifies and investigates reasons for differences.
    • Review the customers request, drawings, and necessary specifications to prepare and plan for quoting.
    • Performs updates to drawings based on submitted Engineering Change Request form.
    • Uses computer software to produce moderately complex drawings for project implementation. (Red-Lines)
    • Interpret statements of work (SOW), interpret blueprints, drawing and specifications to develop work breakdown structures (WBS) and technical approach proposals both independently or with input and assistance from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for creation of project cost estimates.
    • Coordinate with Program Management Office (PMO) Planning and Estimating Coordinator.
    • Responsible for assisting Project Managers and Program Manager in capturing data relevant to Change Order tasking, compiling data and preparing or assisting in preparation of initial Change Order Request Notification (CORN). Upon completion will submit to the Program Management Office.
    • Coordinates change order process between Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Platform Managers, and Task Leaders.
    • Collects, assembles, and verifies supporting documentation.
    • Prepares initial CORN entry form.
    • Maintains CORN status database.
    • Proofreads documents.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:

    Education

    • Bachelors Degree (Business/Engineering); Associate Degree and one year of related work experience; or High School and three years experience of related work experience.
    • Must have working knowledge of functional groups such as Finance, Contracts, Supply Chain, Quality, etc. Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Government contracting including FAR and Labor Laws.
    • Familiarity of key industry production, process, procedure, regulatory / compliance issues and Government roles related to business area.
    • Familiarity with cost accounting standards (CAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    • Ability to obtain a Security clearance, valid driver's license

    Other Qualifications

    • Must be available to travel as required.
