    Position Details:
    Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Med Surg / Medical Telemetry 7WLocation: Mercy Hospital South Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

    Schedule:
    Full-Time | 36 hours/week

    Shift:
    Day Shift | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

    Sign-On Bonus:
    Up to $2,000 for part-time and full-time caregivers
    About the Unit
    Our Medical Telemetry units (7E & 7W) care for a diverse mix of adult patients who require telemetry monitoring. Common diagnoses include cellulitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, chest pain, gastrointestinal issues, COPD exacerbations, and medically stable COVID patients.

    This is an excellent environment for nurses looking to strengthen assessment skills, broaden clinical experience, and grow within a supportive Med Surg/Telemetry team.

    Overview

    Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) .

    Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
    Qualifications

    Education:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalentLicensure:Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
    Must hold and maintain a current LPN license in Missouri and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
    Comparable education experience and successful licensure may be consideredExperience:* New graduates and experienced LPNs welcomeCertifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire)

    LPN-IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)Physical Requirements:
    Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
    Significant bending, stooping, and patient lifting/turning with assistance
