    Job Summary

    The Order Packing Specialist plays a vital role in preparing and shipping customer orders with accuracy and care. In this position, you will ensure that every order is packed and labeled correctly while upholding high safety and quality standards in a dynamic warehouse environment.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations while handling shipments. Promptly report any hazards or incidents to management.
    • Order Fulfillment: Carefully pick and pack items according to specified orders, confirming correct quantities, item types, and product condition before packing.
    • Packing & Labeling: Securely pack items using suitable materials and clearly label boxes and packages for shipping. Ensure efficient packing to prevent damages during delivery.
    • Inspection & Quality Control: Conduct final quality checks before packing and report any damaged or missing items.
    • Inventory Interaction: Communicate with inventory or receiving staff regarding low stock or discrepancies. Record quantities packed in inventory systems if needed.
    • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with shipping, inventory, and receiving teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
    • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout your shift.
    • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

    Experience:

    • Experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
    • Knowledge of RF scanners and picking systems is a plus.

    Skills:

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
    • Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following safety protocols.

    Physical Description

    Typical Working Conditions:

    • Regularly work around moving equipment.
    • Exposed to varying temperatures during seasonal changes in the Distribution Center.

    Essential Physical Tasks:

    • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, hear, reach with hands and arms, and manually handle items. May need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend.
    • Might occasionally lift or move items up to 50 lbs, or team lift heavier items.
    • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Other Requirements

    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • Willingness to undergo a criminal background check.
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
    • Available to work the following shift: Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
