    Description

    Ring & DuChateau is a collaborative team of 90+ engineers, designers, technicians and support staff dedicated to engineering design and service excellence. We have an immediate opening for an Electrical Project Engineer within our Electrical department located in Brookfield or Madison WI. We are looking for team member who will provide exceptional service to our clients.

    Our staff are educated and aware, with a depth of experience that runs the gamut of project size and complexity. Our teams treat every project as unique, and work to develop innovative solutions that maximize operational life and efficiency while minimizing costs. By focusing on clear and effective communication with our project owners and partners, we foster a truly collaborative design process that delivers quality projects and keeps clients returning to Ring & DuChateau to meet their building systems design needs.

    The successful candidate will:

    1. Perform electrical engineering design calculations, technical comparisons and similar technical work as directed.
    2. Prepare studies and reports to evaluate systems and options.
    3. Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering concepts and procedures.
    4. Review drawings supplied by vendors and clients and provides the appropriate engineering solutions to incorporate the design.
    5. Prepare complete construction documents that match the client and project teams requirements.
    6. Coordinate design with other disciplines.
    7. Review shop drawings under the supervision of the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
    8. Recommend changes or modifications to projects as appropriate.
    9. Respond to RFIs and prepare CBs under supervision.
    10. Conduct job site surveys, field observations and develops project punch lists under supervision.
    11. Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians in the same department.
    12. Delegate work tasks to Designers, and BIM Technicians.
    13. Draw and design simultaneously on complex projects.
    14. Research code issues and document findings and reports to supervising engineer.
    15. Interact with clients as level of experience progresses.
    16. Assist with technical studies and assessments.
    17. Perform other duties as assigned.

    You will need:

    Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

    10+ years of experience with an engineering consulting firm or an A I E firm preferred

    Professional license preferred

    Experience in healthcare is a plus

    Working knowledge using the latest version of Revit, Bluebeam, as well as Microsoft office Suite of products

    Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Ability to organize and plan efficiently and manage multiple tasks

    Proficiency in the applicable Microsoft Suite of products
