    Job Summary

    Medcom Benefits Solutions is currently looking for Health and Welfare Compliance ERISA Document Preparer in Jacksonville. The Document Preparer is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of the group health and welfare plan documents for our clients.

    Responsibilities

  • Works with Medcom Compliance Advisors to draft group health and welfare Plan Documents ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations including ERISA and ACA mandated requirements.
  • Uses critical thinking skills to understand the story being told by the data to properly advise and provide solutions to compliance issues.
  • Ensures timeliness and accuracy of projects for regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Required Education/Experience

    Any combination of education and/or experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years in direct customer service
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with an Expert level competency with Microsoft products, including Word and Excel
  • Prioritizing multiple requests.
  • Detail oriented and able to make sound business decisions that are based on objective data
  • Preferred Education/Experience

    Any combination of education and/or experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4 year college or university.
  • Experience administering retirement and other deferred compensation programs, including required/compliance documents and coordination of related audits
  • Experience in successfully leading effective wellness initiatives resulting in both financial and employee relations benefits

  • Preferred Licenses/Certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CEBS, CCP or other related certifications highly preferred.

    Preferred Experience: 2+ years in employee benefits/insurance

    Preferred Knowledge

    Any combination of education and/or experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Detailed knowledge of various health and welfare programs, including specific knowledge of administering these program.
  • Working knowledge of Human Resource functions and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law and Wage and Hour requirements.
  • Expert knowledge of benefit regulations.
