POSITION TITLE: Bartender--Level 1

DEPARTMENT: Beverage

GRADE/FLSA STATUS: H8 - Non-Exempt

BADGE TYPE/COLOR: Key - Blue

REPORTS TO: Beverage Supervisor, D/R Beverage Supervisor

SUPERVISES: N/A

JOB SUMMARY:

Create an entertainment environment for all guests. Provide courteous, friendly, and prompt Beverage service.

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
• Provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests and beverage servers (2-minute production cycle per 3 alcoholic beverage)
• Prepare beverages as ordered
• Build relationships with guests
• Keep bar area clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines
• Operate a cash register/POS system, ringing proper amount into the register and give a guest or server the correct change; accountable for all cash, charge, and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities
• Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
• Follow guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Commission and/or NC ABC Commission
• Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Six months prior customer service experience required
• Four months experience as a bartender at a full-service bar preferred
• Complete documented training program preferred
• CARE certified
• Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:

• Knowledge of beverage operations

• Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
• Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
• Must complete and pass weekly testing and qualifications, failure to do so will result in re-assignment

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to attend to multiple priorities simultaneously
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and carry 5 pounds
• Must be able to maneuver and tap a keg weighing 165 pounds
• Must be able to be on feet for 8-hour shift
• Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grasp items
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including secondhand smoke
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
