    Position Summary Information

    Position Summary

    The Oracle Solutions Analyst reports to the Assistant Director of Solutions Management and leverages Finance and/or HR knowledge to conduct business process analyses and needs assessments and drive the effectiveness of business operations. This position will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of and smooth transition to a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This position will develop business process documentation and workflows throughout the implementation and maintain them post implementation.

    Austin Peay State University is a four-year public, doctoral-level university, with six colleges and four Chairs of Excellence. The University has an enrollment of over 9,000 students and is located in Clarksville, Tennessee, a community of an estimated 166,000 people located approximately 40 miles northwest of Nashville, TN.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    • Collaborate with the Finance and HR teams to map existing business process and identify areas for improvement and alignment with the new ERP system.
    • Work closely with the ERP consultants to ensure the new system aligns with Finance and HR best practices and compliance standards.
    • Analyze business processes to plan and design workflows for Finance and HR.
    • Develop and maintain system and business process documentation.
    • Act as a liaison between Finance and HR, other functional units, and OIT.
    • Organize and test ERP system updates and communicate changes to users.
    • Create and document user training of ERP system.
    • Assist Finance, HR, and other functional units with reporting needs.
    • Provide ongoing support of the ERP system to users.
    • Administer ERP system user access and controls.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Ability to analyze and comprehend Finance and HR business functions and activities;
    • Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams;
    • Knowledge of Finance and/or HR business processes;
    • Knowledge of Finance and/or HR best practices and compliance standards;
    • Proficient in SQL, reporting, and analytics;
    • Ability to effectively document and communicate system updates and changes;
    • Ability to develop and deliver user training.
    Physical Requirements
    • Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
    Required Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Computer Science, Business, or related field;
    • Experience working with Finance and/or HR system processes;
    • Experience developing business workflows and documentation.
