Allied HealthThe athletic trainer is the liaison between the patient, the medical doctors or their support staff, and the medical assistant.
Job includes following the patient from the time of arrival to their time of departure and making sure the patients and doctors needs are met to provide the best physician/patient experience as possible.
There will also be team coverage working with athletes from high school to professional and Olympic level.Responsibilities
Responsible for following all HIPAA regulations and OSHA guidelines for handling blood or bodily fluids Performs basis clinical functions including: Rooms patient and takes pertinent vitals (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure and pulse rate) and accurately records in the electronic medical record; Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical standards (B12 shots, suture removal, enema, EKG, etc); Validates medications list for names of medicines, strength and usage; Reviews and responds to all items in Inbasket according to provider specifications; Responsible for daily cleaning and stocking of exam rooms; Answers telephone in a pleasant, clear and helpful manner, speaking clearly and concisely.

Bachelors, Required
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred - One year of professional experience in a clinical setting
