    Description

    Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer at CGI

    In the Emerging Technologies Practice at CGI, our consultants and technologists utilize their expertise to implement cutting-edge solutions. We are currently seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. Our Cloud Data Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, focusing on developing data-driven applications and finding efficient ways to transform and retrieve information.

    What You'll be Doing:

    • Collaborate with Teams: Engage in designing, deploying, and managing microservice architectures for analytics, data pipelines, and business applications.
    • Requirements Gathering: Interpret business needs to construct cloud-native data infrastructures.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain active engagement with clients and internal team members.
    • Technical Documentation: Document technical designs and solutions clearly.
    • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with solution architects, senior data engineers, and cloud engineering teams.

    Qualifications:

    • Expertise in API Development and JavaScript.
    • Experience with Microservices Architecture and Cloud Platforms.
    • Knowledge of Generative AI, Database Management, and Data Pipeline Construction.
    • Skills in Streaming Data, Agile Methodology, CI/CD, and Collaboration.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
    • Knowledge of security best practices.
    • Experience in creating dashboards and visualizations using BI tools.
