    Seeking a full-time communication and content lead in a vibrant and innovative environment, for a hybrid on site and remote position.

    This position will be responsible for leading the development and execution of effective, goal-oriented communication strategies that resonate with technology-oriented government and government contractor (GovCon) audiences.

    The ideal candidate will be flexible, work collaboratively across the organization and leverage the current brand value of a growing, 200+ person firm to support new contract wins and existing work.

    Primary Responsibilities:


    Develop and implement a branding and communications plan to support business development and organizational goals, addressing website, conventional media, social media, printed materials, and conferences.

    Align the branding and communications plan to business development pipeline.


    Cultivate and maintain relationships with media and GovCon industry contacts, including writing press releases, making/managing social media posts, facilitating conference participation, and shaping and communicating about company work product, activities, and published materials.

    Proactively manage social media and respond to media inquiries and identify opportunities for increased brand visibility.

    Stay abreast of GovCon trends to inform branding and content strategies effectively.

    Use appropriate tools and metrics to track audience engagement and message efficacy.


    Design infographics, presentation visuals, publication design, brochures, posters, and logos, as well as create, edit, and process text and graphics for hardcopy and electronic publication.

    Work within production schedules and coordinate with program owners to produce and deliver finished visual publications.


    Manage and develop corporate communications products such as weekly activity reports, briefings, articles, and senior leadership talking points, ensuring workforce awareness of organizational programs, initiatives, requirements, training, and other opportunities.

    Facilitate two-way communications between workforce and leadership.

    Liaise and maintain effective working relationships with senior level clients, outside of and within the organization.

    Work independently and contribute to the team in a collaborative, creative environment.


    Qualifications:
    Qualifications

    Prior government contractor service experience with Federal, DoD and/or Civilian Agencies' Public Health markets.


    Required Skills:
    Bachelor's degree in communications or related field with at least 7 years' experience.


    Demonstrable experience in GovCon Washington operations and/or business development, with a track record of developing branding/communications strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives.

    Proficiency in translating complex scientific or engineering concepts into accessible and engaging narratives.

    Understanding of government contracting value propositions and how to communicate them to relevant audiences.

    Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate brand messages to diverse audiences.

    Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

    Experience with graphic design and visual communication.


    Excellent computer skills and experience with using Microsoft Office Suite Applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and Outlook, as well as the Adobe Creative suite tools, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

    Experience with 508 compliance and graphic design principles.

    Ability to deliver innovative solutions and superior visual communication products, including infographics, publications, instructional materials, brochures, posters, banners, fact sheets, executive-level presentations, digital marquees, and digital and web advertisements

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and superior attention to detail.

    Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, working cross-departmentally to complete projects as needed.

    Demonstrated ability to reason strategically.

    Strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

    The ability to successfully deliver high quality work product under deadlines are essential.

    Ability to solve problems and prioritize needs in a variety of situations where immediate decisions may be necessary.

    Additional Information

    This is a hybrid position.

    Pay:
    $110,000 - $140,000
