- Master's Degree of Mental Health, Social Sciences or commensurate experience required
- Current, unencumbered, active substance abuse or mental health licensure to practice as a Counselor in the state where treatment services are rendered, at hire and for the entire duration of employment
- LIMHP, LMHP, LADC, or LPC preferred. License-eligible individuals are encouraged to inquire about opportunities for those working towards licensure
- Current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Knowledge of computer and EMR systems
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Enthusiasm, passion for working with people, and internal drive to improve the lives of individuals in our care
- We love new grads However, two (2) years of experience as a Counselor with one (1) year of inpatient/residential experience would really dazzle us
- Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as professional reference checks
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear
- $29.00 to $41.00 per hour

Reports To: Outpatient Program Manager
Located in Omaha, Nebraska, Northpoint Omaha is an outpatient treatment facility providing specialized treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our core purpose is to save lives and restore relationships.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary responsibility of the Counselor position is to serve our mission by delivering compassionate, ethical, and quality care to our patients and to execute the day-to-day clinical activities in accordance with internal policies, and federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern Northpoint. The Counselor will provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned patients, as required by contractual and licensure obligations. In tandem with our multidisciplinary team, you are entrusted to ensure that the highest degree of quality care will always be provided to our patients. Our clinical staff have a unique opportunity for professional growth and make a significant difference in the lives of many through their work with our diverse patient population.
