    • Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital, with 263 licensed beds,providingcomprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care,radiologyand oncology services.

    Responsibilities
    • Perform occupational therapy assessment procedures utilizing techniques consistent with the patients diagnosis. Develop individualized treatment plan based on evaluation findings.
    • Provide detailed and concise documentation of evaluation, treatment, interim reports, and discharge evaluations within departmental timelines. Provide all necessary documentation required for on-going patient care.
    • Participate in mentoring and training of clinical support staff, new professional staff, and students/volunteers in the aspects of patient care.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental performance improvement.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical program development.
    • Responsible for completing basic occupational therapy competencies in addition to departmental specific competencies.
    • Meet productivity expectations for level of care and FTE status.
    • Utilize support staff and resources as per general guidance of departmental guidelines.
    • Take ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
    • Communicate and listen effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
    • Cooperate and interact with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to service.
    Qualifications

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelors of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
    • Current Licensure or licensure eligible in Occupational Therapy in State of NM
    • CPR

    Preferred Job Requirements

    • Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
    • One (1) year experience in job-related environment
