    *Position at NAPA Auto Parts*
    Position Mission :Provide comprehensive

    support for the RMDS Genuine Parts Company Transportation and Logistics (GPCTL) team. This role will oversee transportation logistics and help ensure on time delivery according to regulations. The Transportation Coordinator will have interaction with GPC suppliers, carrier service, automation, and selection.


    Position Performance Measures:

    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Good organizational skills
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills

    Responsibilities:

    • Add/update order comments critical to carrier communication and service reporting
    • Gather and interpret carrier capacity information
    • Monitor automated carrier selection, assignment, rating and tender processes
    • Monitor carrier pickup and delivery performance
    • Communicate pickup and/or delivery problems to Suppliers, DCs , Jobbers
    • Monitor shipment status information
    • Monitor EDI transactions and process errors
    • Manage error handling and exceptions
    • Resolve service issues related to carrier claims, volumes, on-time performance and automation
    • Manage detention/demurrage/re-consignment issues
    • Provide shipment status information to suppliers / DCs /Jobbers, based on communications with carrier
    • Communicate delivery or shipment problems to customer, as necessary
    • Accountable/Commitment-Continuous Improvement Initiatives
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Experience, Education, and Abilities:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required
    • College Degree Preferred
    • Effective written and verbal
    communication skills

    • Effective problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to operate well under pressure.
    • Proficient
    in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
