    Rate:
    $64.25/hr plus benefits

    Laboratory Manager

    for one of our fortune 500 clients.
    Position Summary
    Key Job Responsibilities
    Organize and maintain cleanliness of hardware engineering development work spaces and storage areas.

    Procuring, organizing and maintaining stock of lab supply materials, test equipment, third party devices, prototype devices for troubleshooting and debug.

    Identifying pros/cons of test equipment and evaluating new ones for potential procurement.

    Actively partner with EHS to develop and maintain lab safety protocols; site trainings, hazmat inventory, PPE requirements, hazard identification, SOP documentation, etc.

    Adhere to and enforce laboratory safety within the team and external stakeholders.
    Develop and manage maintenance lists and schedules for equipment, including preventative maintenance and calibration.
    Generate SOP documentation and user manuals, training, and access guidelines.
    Leverage asset management systems to monitor whereabouts and track inventory of critical components.
    Assist with international shipment of material
    Assist with assembling prototype fixtures and cables.
    Up to 30% travel needed between the North Reading, MA and Westborough, MA facilities.

    Basic Qualifications

    5+ years prior experience as a shop manager in a R&D setting.
    Experience managing resources, safety, budgets, inventory, equipment, schedule, and capacity.
    Ability to read and interpret EE and ME prints.
    Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 33 pounds frequently.
    Vision correctable to 20/30 or better and able to differentiate color.
    Reach, bend, kneel, twist, grip or pinch to handle material in the lab.
    Preferred Qualifications

    Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
    Experience assembling electromechanical fixtures, cable crimping, and hand soldering.
