- Coordinating and leading the daily operations of the laboratory including scheduling and supervisory duties as required
- Uses independent judgement to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction we are able
- Prioritizes, delegates, and oversees all phases of the laboratory process
- Ensures all established processes, policies, and procedures for the laboratory are followed to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely results are reported
- Oversees the quality assurance and quality management programs and ensures they are followed
- Follows up as appropriate with any deviations in the process
- Ensures ongoing laboratory compliance with all appropriate regulatory organizations and all facility and system wide requirements including monitoring proficiency testing
- Responsible for laboratory education and training of all team members, including orientation, acting as trainer, ensuring competency documentation, and being a resource and mentor
- Assists with gathering and monitoring data to achieve laboratory goals
- In the incidence of the manager or supervisors absence, assist with additional duties such as scheduling staffing, attending meetings, etc.
- Works independently and in a team
- Utilize Delegation, preceptor, and management skills
- Must have customer service and interpersonal skills
