- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) License via NMLS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.)
- Experience with loan origination software
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and financial skills
- Effective time management and customer service skills
- Build and maintain client relationships with various professionals to drive business growth
- Stay updated on local real estate market trends to provide clients with current information
- Keep abreast of changes in regulations from FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA, among others
- Negotiate terms with clients to secure favorable mortgage conditions
- Coordinate all aspects of the loan process from application to closing
- Maintain professionalism and compliance with company policies and procedures

The Retail Loan Officer plays a crucial role by soliciting and originating high-quality loans that meet the standards of the company's investors and agencies. By building and nurturing strong client relationships, this role involves selling loan products and services to various stakeholders like real estate agents, builders, home buyers, and financial planners, among others. Responsibilities include evaluating, approving, and recommending loans for authorization.
