    Sterile Processing Tech
    ~ Casual (as-needed basis)
    ~8-hour shifts, Days
    ~ Surgical Services/Clinic
    ~ Job Summary:
    The Sterile Processing Tech cleans and sterilizes instruments, maintaining AAMI and AORN standards. They maintain equipment and keep supplies stocked while also delivering supplies and equipment to the appropriate areas.
    Document and retain sterilization and disinfection records.
    Track turnover on the operating room and clean between patients.
    Maintain adequate supplies of equipment at all times.
    Actively participate in staff meetings, committees, and special projects to promote personal and team growth.
    Round each unit twice per day to stock equipment and empty sharps containers.

    If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:
    # Certification in sterile processing, OR ability to obtain within 1 year.
    # Minimum of one-year sterile processing experience within the past five years preferred.
    # Must be able to learn clinic flow/processes to support the nurses and providers.
    # Ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.
    # If no candidates meet the above requirements, consideration will be given to those with 1 year of other health care related experience and/or experience/education that includes training in principles, methods, and sterilization processes including care and handling of surgical instrumentation and/or aseptic technique principles, sterile goods and equipment, and/or High school graduate or equivalent. Required to obtain certification in Sterile Processing within the first year of employment.
