    Description

    Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to assist in preparing for and during surgeries in Castro Valley, California. The successful candidate will work with a team to make sure patients receive quality care. The daily tasks may involve:

    • Preparing surgical instruments and supplies
    • Setting up a sterile table, instruments and supplies
    • Assisting the team with the preparation, positioning and draping of patients
    • Passing instruments to the surgeon and assistants, retracting, suctions, and cutting sutures as directed
    • Collecting instruments, supplies and equipment for case cart as time permits
    • Training and precepting new hires and staff

    To be successful, the candidate must have a diploma or equivalent experience, along with a certification as a Surgical Technologist. They must have a minimum of two years of scrubbing experience in a hospital. Additionally, they should have strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills. The salary range for this role is $44.77 to $57.81 per hour, which may vary depending on factors such as experience, education, licensure and certifications.
