    FULL DESCRIPTION :

    Our client is looking for an experienced and skilled Senior Accountant to perform Accounting operations, help ensure the accuracy of Financial Statements and support the Controller.

    Senior accountant responsibilities include recording assigned journal entries, reconciling assigned general ledger accounts, monitoring, recording & reporting of cash, maintenance of fixed assets and depreciation schedule, property tax filing and completing month-end close deliverables.

    Other responsibilities include supporting the Controller with the yearly Financial Audit and other adhoc projects. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller and provide necessary support.
    The Selected Candidate Will Be Responsible ForDaily reporting of cash 'on hand' and expected accounts receivablesMaintain and record petty cashMaintain and track check stockPrepare and post journal entries (ie.

    payroll & benefits, prepaid amortization, salary allocation, cash entries, fixed asset and depreciation, cos and ap accrual, Concur AMEX etc.)



    Gather/prepare monthly bank reconciliation support packagePerform gl reconciliations and variance analysisMaintain and record fixed assets and depreciation schedulesDevelop and implement the process for tracking asset purchases and disposal, and coordinate Year End Asset Inventory Audit to support Annual Property Tax FilingPrepare and submit annual property tax filingProvide support to the Accounts Payable Function (ie.

    review Invoices for GL accuracy prior to GL posting, provide guidance and assist in Vendor Reconciliation, assist in Vendor Communication as needed, etc.)Support month-end and year-end close processServe as Concur Administrator (ie.

    provide training, create user accounts, etc.)Assist with financial, worker's comp and tax auditsAssist with adhoc requests from Controller & CFOProvide support to ControllerServe as back-up for accounting functionsDevelop or Update Step By Step Instructions for Accounting TasksEnsure compliance with GAAP principlesLiaise with Controller to improve accounting processes and proceduresThe Selected Candidate Will Also PossessProven experience as a senior accountant (minimum 3 years)Proven experience in handling full cycle accounts payable (minimum 3 years)Experience in fixed assets, depreciation and annual property tax filing highly desiredThorough knowledge of basic accounting proceduresIn-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Awareness of business trendsFamiliarity with financial accounting statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processHands-on experience with SAGE ERP X3 Accounting software or SAGE is highly desiredIntermediate-Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tablesAccuracy and attention to detailExcellent communication skills ( verbal and in writing )Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skillsBS degree in Accounting or equivalent fieldSalary Range:
