The candidate we're seeking should have an interest in being instrumental in the long term security posture of agency networks with a strong emphasis on compliance with NIST standards.

KEY POSITION DUTIES /

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, implement, and oversee the security policies and procedures for information systems in accordance with NIST
Create comprehensive Security Assessment Packages, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
Utilize Xacta for the management of security processes, including risk assessments and authorization packages.
Conduct regular security reviews and audits of systems to ensure compliance with federal security regulations.
Collaborate with other cybersecurity and IT professionals to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security measures.
Provide guidance and training to staff on information security best practices and procedures.
Respond to security incidents and breaches, conduct thorough investigations, and recommend corrective actions.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS/

EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an ISSO or in a similar role within the federal government.
Strong understanding and experience with NIST and federal information system security policies.
Experience and ability to build FISMA packages from start to finish with little oversight.
Experience creating Security Assessment Packages and working within the Xacta environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical staff.
Minimum Security + Certification
Preferred CISSP, CISA, CISM
Preferred advanced Degree

OFFERING:
Attractive Salary between $140,000 and $160,000, depending on experience
