    Job Title: Patient Access Epic Application Analyst III

    Employment Type: Contract to Hire

    Duration: 2-6 month contract before conversation

    Pay Range: $120-128k

    Benefits Offered: iMatch contractor benefits available

    Onsite Location or Remote: Preferably local. Open to remote for strong candidates. Must be onsite roughly once a quarter for Go-Lives and Rounding. Must be located in PST, MST or CST.

    Required Core Hours/Time Zone: 8am-3pm PST

    Work Authorization/Visa Requirements: Must be a permanent US resident. Client unable to sponsor working visas.

    Interview Process: (Specific steps & duration of each step)

    1. 45 minute video interview with Hiring Manager and Team Lead
    2. 60-90 minute panel video interview with the team
    3. Brief conversation with Chief Application Officer

    2. Epic Patient Access
    3. Epic Cadence must be Cadence Certified (Epic Patient Access is part of Epic Cadence)
    4. Epic Oncology (for Oncology Scheduling)

    Job Description:

    OVERVIEW:

    We are seeking a skilled and proactive Patient Access Epic Application Analyst III to join our team. This role is integral in supporting key aspects of clinical applications that drive clinic operations, ensuring seamless functionality, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing training to users. The successful candidate will collaborate with analysts and engineers, adhere to standard operating procedures, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.     • RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for Epic Patient Access users.
    • Support testing, process development, system configuration, and change management.
    • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and maintain build and testing standards.
    • Implement requested changes or projects in a timely manner, prioritizing end-user communication.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot build within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
    • Modify Epic content as required by project teams and optimize system configuration to focus on patient safety.
    • Perform medium risk/complex system maintenance tasks and routine revisions to meet build metrics.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide functional expertise and optimize system design and development.
    • Provide timely support and problem resolution to customers, ensuring effective communication of expectations.
    • Participate in after-hours application support rotation and downtime procedures.
    • Liaise with customers and internal teams to understand system enhancements and workflow resolutions.
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships to provide technical solutions and excellent customer service.
    • Collaborate with other analysts to gain technical and workflow knowledge of operations.
    • Attend meetings, participate in workgroups, and serve on committees as needed.
    • Prepare documentation for the implementation of enhancements or new technology.
    • Follow documented change control processes and ensure solutions are technically sound.
    • Conduct quality control and testing to maintain the technical integrity of solutions.
    • Mentor junior analysts regarding documentation standards and processes.
    • Demonstrate clinical acumen by eliciting and documenting requirements, and synthesizing stakeholder input to drive consensus.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Required:Bachelor's degree and 10 years of clinical and/or relevant healthcare information technology experience OR masters degree and 8 years of related experience.
    • Current Epic cadence certification.
    • Proficiency in rapidly solving IT systems problems and identifying/triaging issues.
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to meet timelines.
    • Ability to train others in system usage and maintain effective relationships.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and suggest improvements.
    • Proven ability to lead projects, negotiate user requirements, and drive results.
    • Preferred:Experience with oncology scheduling.
    • Experience with prelude.
    • Experience with hospital billing.
    • Proficiency in MS Visio, Excel, Transact SQL, and Crystal Reports.
    • Familiarity with running, scheduling, and building complex reports.
    • Understanding of SDLC and vendor release schedules.
    • Ability to work with minimal guidance, apply industry best practices, and network effectively.
    • Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a growth mindset towards personal and professional development.
    • Demonstrated interest in advancing technical capability, and excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
