What You'll Do

As a valued member of our refractive team, you will:

Perform comprehensive refractive workups and advanced diagnostics
Obtain detailed medical and ocular histories
Accurately document findings, assessments, and treatment plans
Educate patients on refractive procedures and set clear expectations
Assist with in-office procedures and surgical preparation
Administer ophthalmic medications per protocol
Support contact lens evaluations and insertion/removal training
Maintain efficient clinic flow and deliver an exceptional patient experience
Triage patient calls and ensure proper equipment sterilization
Uphold HIPAA and professional standards at all times

Technology You'll Work With

Experience with some or all of the following is preferred:

Auto Refractor, Retinoscope, Phoropter, Slit Lamp
Pentacam / Corneal Topography
WaveScan
IOL Master / Lenstar
Humphrey Visual Field
Pachymetry & Tonometry
Zeiss & Heidelberg OCT
Stereopsis, Worth 4-Dot, Van Herick, and EOM testing

Requirements

What We're Looking For

1+ year of ophthalmic technician/assistant experience preferred
Refractive or surgical ophthalmology experience strongly preferred
COA or COT certification is a plus
Strong communication and multitasking abilities
Detail-oriented with a patient-first mindset
Comfortable using EMR systems and standard computer software

Competitive pay: $20–$29/hour DOE
