    Description
    Provide general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, neuraxial anesthesia, and monitored anesthesia care, as indicated based on patient and procedure.
    Evaluation of respiratory function and application of respiratory therapy in all its forms.
    Supervision, teaching, and evaluation of performance of both medical and paramedical personnel in anesthesia, respiratory, and critical care.

    Conduct research and collaboration in research efforts at the clinical and basic science level in order to proactively identify gaps in evidence and practice, then measure the impact of filling these gaps and linking evidence to practice.

    Demonstrates and uses knowledge of Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI), infection control, patient and staff safety, and risk management to ensure compliance with established standards.

    Be an active participant in the education of resident physicians and student nurse anesthetists through cooperation and collaboration with the Residency Program director and the site director of the Navy Nurse Corps Anesthesia Program (NNCAP).
