Job Description

As a Security Officer - Flex Gatehouse Driver in Reynoldsburg, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will greet team members and guests, manage entry points, verify credentials, and support traffic flow while staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to questions and concerns with strong customer service, and communicate clearly with store leadership and Allied Universal teammates. This post requires a valid driver's license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.

Control access at designated entrances and employee areas by verifying identification, managing guest check-in, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry and exit logs.

Monitor customer and associate flow near store entrances, back-of-house doors, and loading or delivery areas, and report irregular activity to site leadership and/or local authorities as required.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with incident documentation and communicating updates to supervisors.

Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas around the retail space and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
