    Job Description:

    L3Harris has an immediate opening for a Lead Project Engineer for full lifecycle Project Engineering support for a large space/reflector development program including hardware, software, and operations. The Lead PE will be managing the execution of the space/reflector development to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks and leading a project team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments in a growing business area.

    Essential Functions:
    • Develops, oversees and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoing engineering projects within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
    • Reviews status of engineering projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
    • Assesses engineering issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
    • Identifies, tracks, mitigates, manages, and dispositions program-level risks.
    • Estimate resource and material needs for the project/product.
    • Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
    • Provides the coordination between technical and supply chain teams to ensure all necessary material and subcontracts are received when needed.
    • Participate and lead on small to medium size teams and perform a wide variety of tasks.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
    • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS).
    • Experience with project engineering and program execution and managing multi-discipline programs across multiple locations.
    • Experience in hardware/software integration programs.
    • Experience managing projects with budgets of $40M+
    • Experience with Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management.
    • Experience with reflector/antenna space design programs and activities, or e xperience with developing a ground architecture (hardware/software/comm/etc), that will support satellite communications and collection.
    • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
    Preferred Additional Skills:
    • STEM or engineering degrees preferred.
    • Experience leading Government Contract development programs.
    • Experience with Government contract acquisition lifecycle.
    • Experience with management of design to cost activities.
    • Experience with program pursuit and proposal activities.
    • Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action process and techniques.
