    Position Summary:

    The Lead, RT Vent Field clinician plays a crucial role in providing respiratory care to ventilator patients and other respiratory equipment. As a subject matter expert, they assist leadership in overseeing the Respiratory staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RT offers respiratory care at alternate sites following AdaptHealth's policies, with a focus on prevention, rehabilitation, and palliative care. They collaborate with the team, physicians, and referral sources to address patient care promptly.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide oversight for Respiratory staff supporting ventilator patients.
    • Mentor and guide team members.
    • Evaluate business operations and identify areas for improvement.
    • Utilize expertise to streamline processes and enhance performance.
    • Conduct in-services and offer education to staff, patients, and other professionals.
    • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company policies.
    • Assist with authorization for referrals and respiratory equipment needs.
    • Participate in discharge planning and clinical assessments.
    • Collaborate with various teams to optimize patient outcomes.
    • Stay updated on industry guidelines and best practices.
    • Provide training on equipment usage and patient care.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Nursing.
    • Valid RT clinical license in all serviced states or LPN/RN license.
    • CPR certification and three years of clinical experience with ventilator patients.
    • Valid driver's license.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Proficient in ventilator and oxygen therapy administration.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
    • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment and team player.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform CPR.
    • Comfortable with extended computer use and repetitive motions.
    • May encounter varying work environments and stressful situations.
    • Travel required within the service area.
    • Must have the mental and physical capacity to conduct clinical assessments.
