    Cozen OConnors Denver office seeks an attorney for the Subrogation & Recovery Department.

    The attorney will be responsible for intaking, reviewing and handling 300+ claims per year, each involving a property damage loss above $100, The attorney will be responsible for coordinating the investigation, including retention and management of experts, identifying potential theories of liability, and client reporting, all to achieve a thorough and efficient process of triaging new losses for purposes of having viable claims assigned to production attorneys, while retaining responsibility for evaluating and ultimately closing the non-viable claims.

    Attorneys also will be responsible for litigating viable subrogation claims that are handled by our subsidiary, National Subrogation Services, in the range of $50,000.00 to $100,000.00.Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience drafting and arguing motions, preparing for and attending court conferences and depositions, investigating and analyzing recovery opportunities for property damage claims, drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and communicating with clients and opposing counsel.

    Excellent research and writing skills and Colorado Bar license are required. Prior insurance or subrogation experience is preferred.

    This is an opportunity to work at an AMLAW 100 firm without the pressure of billable hours This position is not on partner track, but it has the potential to be converted to an associate position in the future.

    The salary range for this position is $110,000-$120,000 and represents the Firms good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

    Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidates relevant experience and qualifications.
