- Aid the Forestry Team in the development of an industry leading quality control and reporting system to track the quality of Restoration and Harvest, Log Quality, Adherence to delivery quotas.
- Participate in field assessments and surveys to evaluate timber quality, volume, and suitability for processing.
- Support log scaling and grading activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Assist with the coordination of transportation logistics for incoming timber deliveries to the sawmill.
- Participate in sawmill operations to gain an understanding of the timber processing workflow and quality control procedures.
- Aid in data collection and analysis related to sawmill production, timber inventory, and sustainability metrics.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in the field or within the sawmill facility.
- Strong interest in forestry, timber procurement, and sawmill operations.
- Basic knowledge of forest ecology, timber harvesting techniques, and timber grading is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in outdoor settings and industrial environments.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is desirable.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
