    Full Time
    Doctor of Medicine (M.Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada.

    This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges:

    Liaison Committee on Medical Education; For foreign medical graduates facility officials must verify with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) that the applicant has met the requirements for certification, and must obtain a copy of the ECFMG certificate.


    Internship/Residency:
    The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
    The Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association.
    Board Certified in Anesthesiology
    Continuing Medical Education (CME): Provide copy of current CME
    Current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia).


    DEA:
    Contractor shall provide a copy of current DEA certificate.
    ~ English Language Requirement:

    Shall be able to read, write, speak and understand English well enough to effectively communicate with all patients and other health care providers.

    Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.


    Training:
    Electronic Health Record educational trainings completed annually

    Liability Insurance:
    The Federal Tort Claims Act does not cover Contractor or Contractor's physician(s).

    When a Contractor or Contractor's physician(s) has been identified as a provider in a tort claim, the Contractor shall be responsible for notifying their legal counsel and/or insurance carrier.

    Administers anesthesiology to surgical patients.
    Performs anesthesiology services administrative functions. Coordinates patient care and the administrative activities of the anesthesiology services during and after surgical procedures. Monitors and evaluates anesthesiology activities to determine compliance with established standards of patient care, policies, and regulations. Analyzes the requirements for supplies, equipment, and other resources, and makes recommendations.
    Contract Anesthesiologists shall be primarily required to perform anesthesiology services during surgical procedures.

    When the services are not required, or anesthesiology services are more urgently required elsewhere, the contract Anesthesiologists may be assigned by Chief Anesthesiology or his/her designated representative to provide support in other sections/departments of the MTF commensurate with their experience.

    Contract Anesthesiologists will participate in the educational requirements of the Anesthesia to include attendance in morning report.
    7am - 5:30pm Monday-Friday
    ~ On Call Requirements:
    One weekday per week and one weekend per month

    Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities.
