    Description
    Aventa is currently looking on behalf of one of our client a Senior Project Engineer.

    Reporting to the Project Director (PD) based in Milan HQ the resource will:


    Responsibilities:
    Continuously interface with the Client, actively participate in project management weekly and monthly meetings

    Prepare monthly progress reports, minutes of meeting, lookahead programmes

    Prepare Project documentation as required (e.g. Communication Plan, Stakeholder Plan, Interface Plan, License/Permits Plan, Risk Register, etc.)

    Act as the main interface with Permitting Manager, participate in meetings with Land Owners, Authorities, Asset Owners and follow-up on any action needed to obtain permits on time cooperating with Employer

    Ensure a Permits obtainment schedule is in place and properly monitored

    Responsible for updating Project Actions Tracker Register and follow-up on any actions dealing with the relevant Function

    Be familiar with Master Document Register and follow-up on documentation review cycle with Customer and Marine Warranty Surveyor guaranteeing timely documentation readiness

    As required, participate in the bidders section and preparation of the documentation package required for the bidding phase

    Manage Project subcontractors involved in the following activities: cable landfall assistance, HDD construction, civil works, marine survey

    Ensure compliance with HSE policies and regulations, championing a safety-first culture

    Collect Lessons Learnt


    Qualifications and Experience:
    Master's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

    Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Project Engineer for major Oil&Gas EPC Contractor or Civil Contractor

    Experience with permits and consent management process

    Experience in managing Interface between different Contractors working within the same Worksite

    Supplier and Subcontractor management

    Key Experience:

    2/3 years experience on site supervising construction civil works

    Experience working on Projects with National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) or Scottish & Southern Electricity Network (SSEN)

    Knowledge of The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (UK law)

    BS 5975 Temporary Works Procedure


    Skills:
    Proficiency in English

    Good communications, organization, and coordination skills

    Problem-solving skills

    Passion for energy transition and technology

    Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

    Good experience in Project management, planning, reporting

    Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, and AutoCAD


    Conditions:

    Contract:
    Freelancer, daily rate based on the experience of the candidate. Flexibility to travel and work in diverse geographical locations in Europe, as required by Project (Client Office in UK, Construction Site, cable factory, subcontractor offices)
